The new addition to the Field Xpert family, SMT50, makes it quick and easy to commission and maintain devices in non-hazardous areas. The robust 12-inch tablet manages Endress+Hauser and third-party instruments with a digital communication interface and documents the progress of the work. Like the Ex-version SMT70, the SMT50 links directly to the Netilion platform for optimised plant asset management.
Specially designed for the food & beverage, water & wastewater and life sciences industries, the new tablet helps to simplify workflows by enabling operators to access relevant data quickly and on site. It packs in a lot of value and performance at a cost-effective price.
The SMT50 connects to field devices wirelessly using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth or via a suitable interface such as a modem or bus system. The instruments can then be configured and managed during their entire life cycle, which results in time and cost savings for each device. The software package is fast, easy and intuitive to use, so it’s ready to go right out of the box with pre-installed applications and access to Endress+Hauser’s digital service, Netilion.
Connecting your Field Xpert tablet to Netilion Library is an efficient way to organise your documentation and digital twin assets. All your files, such as device configuration reports, are available in one place and can be shared easily with colleagues.
It’s also quick and easy to use the SMT50 to trigger a Heartbeat Technology verification and report. Heartbeat verification carries out a managed test without interrupting the process or removing the instrument and provides clearly documented test results. The automatically generated test protocol provides verification compliant with regulations, which increases system availability and can extend calibration intervals.
