Dear Reader,
Last year, we decided to sponsor mountaineer Roeland van Oss in his attempt to summit Everest. He would attempt this together with his partner, Sanna, without supplemental oxygen; a feat only achieved by around 200 people before them!
They have been the source of much inspiration for me and my colleagues at Endress+Hauser UK. Like everyone else around the world, we have been battling our own ‘Everest’ challenges as we try to adapt to the constraints forced upon us by the pandemic. I am proud to say that we have supported each other and our customers throughout this difficult period and will no doubt emerge stronger as a result.
Now we are preparing a phased return to our offices, safety is still at the forefront of our minds. We have decided to completely reinvent our offices based on learnings from these difficult times. They shall better facilitate collaboration, while also providing an improved platform to support you as you adapt to a post-pandemic world.
The last eighteen months has taught us that you never know exactly what the future holds. Unfortunately, Roeland and Sanna’s Everest expedition ended without summiting, but I am immensely proud of their efforts. I have no doubt that they will regroup and try again to achieve their goal, just as we shall always try to learn, adapt and improve upon our own performance to help you do the same in your organisations.
Yours,
Steven
