The new iTHERM ModuLine family of temperature assemblies has been designed for the power & energy, chemical and oil & gas industries where applications require temperature measurements that are accurate, stable and offer valuable additional information. With the right solution for every application, you can optimise your processes in terms of safety, reliability and efficiency.
To make it easy to select the product you need, the portfolio has been segmented into basic and advanced functionality. For reliable temperature measurement in simple applications, the TM101 and TM121 thermometers are cost-effective and offer easy device configuration. Like all ModuLine thermometers, they can be configured with Bluetooth and the free Endress+Hauser SmartBlue app – the first universal temperature transmitters on the market to have this capability. It means that commissioning, maintenance and diagnostics can be carried out remotely and without the need for additional equipment, which is ideal for confined spaces, high installations and other difficult environments. Access to the device is password protected, and the transmission complies with the highest security standards.
Fast and robust
For more advanced applications, a fast-response thermowell available with the TM131 thermometer delivers up to five times faster response times than a traditional thermowell, giving you process values in real time. Usable in process temperatures of up to 400°C, this accurate measurement will help you to conserve energy, avoid critical plant situations and maintain product quality.
In high-vibration applications, our market-leading StrongSens RTD is resistant up to 60g, which is 20 times greater than standard RTDs. This improves safety in your application by helping to avoid premature failure of the sensor and reduces the associated costs of maintenance.
Easier calibration
Endress+Hauser’s patented QuickNeck separation device offers improved process availability by speeding up calibration. Simply by turning the instrument head 90°, you can safely remove the temperature probe from its thermowell while it remains wired. As the terminal head stays closed, there’s no risk of water or dust ingress, and the potential problems of lost parts or false connections are eliminated, reducing downtime and costs.
Increased process safety
For added safety, our Dual Seal technology adds a second barrier to the process. The mechanism detects possible cracks or breaks in the thermowell and immediately seals off the sensor insert from the instrument head, preventing operators being exposed to potentially dangerous process media. The instrument simultaneously sends an alert to the process control system, allowing the plant to be brought into a safe condition and avoiding risk to people and the environment.
