Endress+Hauser welcomes international guests to the Global Forum
Staff and customers from the UK joined the largest networking event the company has ever hosted as part of its 70th anniversary celebrations.
A huge party at the Messe Basel exhibition centre in Switzerland for 5,500 Endress+Hauser employees marked the end of the Group’s anniversary week. In the days before, the company had welcomed 850 international guests to a customer forum on sustainability to mark its 70th birthday.
The Global Forum focused on the question of how to successfully manage the energy transformation of the process control industry. Topics such as decarbonisation, the circular economy, and resource and energy efficiency were highlighted by expert speakers. The event was also an opportunity for Endress+Hauser staff and customers, including those from the UK, to network and share their experiences.

An upcoming change at the top of the Group was also marked as part of the celebrations. The company and its family of shareholders paid tribute to the lifetime achievements of Supervisory Board president Dr Klaus Endress, who will be succeeded in this position at the end of the year by current CEO Matthias Altendorf. The former managing director of the UK sales centre, Steven Endress, a grandson of the company founder, is also moving to the Group’s Supervisory Board. He has been succeeded as managing director by Iain Cropper.
