Our FLEX portfolio structure makes it easy to select the right instrument for your application. The F of FLEX stands for Fundamental: simple, easy-to-use products to meet your basic measurement needs.
The basic idea of the FLEX structure is that depending on the application, there are different goals to achieve and different challenges to overcome. Some processes you just need to monitor, others you want to optimise.
Fundamental products are kept deliberately simple, with the number of variants kept to a minimum to make selection easy. There are also fewer features and options than other selections, so installation, maintenance and handling become considerably easier.
Same high quality
Yet simplicity does not mean lower product quality. We rely on the same quality components as we do for other products. We also employ the same technologies that we have developed over the last 70+ years together with customers from various industries.
Although other suppliers may offer instruments with lower initial purchase prices, their ultimate cost may be much higher. If devices continuously fail and have to be replaced, they can eventually cost many times more than the original saving. Fundamental products are both high quality and cost-effective as no money is wasted on functionality that simply isn’t needed.
Standardised approach
Because we cover most relevant process industry parameters, you can take a standardised approach and decrease your number of suppliers. This reduces the time needed to become acquainted with the instruments, and reduces learning curve and time spent on commissioning and design, especially for repeat systems. Quick delivery is usually available for standard Fundamental products.
While the Fundamental selection will satisfy basic requirements, for critical applications such as chemical dosing a more precise instrument may be needed. This can be supplied from one of our other FLEX selections.
