Dear customer,
In difficult times like we have all experienced over the past 18 months, the temptation for many businesses is to focus on defensive measures. I agree with sustainable measures, but I also think that forward thinking is even more important.
One way Endress+Hauser continues to act progressively is by continuing to invest in apprenticeships. Over the years, in good times and in challenging ones, we have committed to a programme of hiring new apprentices to a diverse range of roles across our company.
To assist with the ongoing training and development needs of our apprentices, we have continued to develop our training centre, inaugurated in 2013, which also serves many of our customers’ training requirements.
At Endress+Hauser we believe that the combination of young, enquiring minds and tailored apprenticeship programmes allows us to address a forever widening skills gap not completely satisfied by many mainstream routes. We also see it as part of our corporate social responsibility to develop talent for the good of the individuals and the industry as a whole.
Our CEO, Matthias Altendorf, himself started as an apprentice at the age of 17. What better way to demonstrate the impact apprentices can have on the long-term development of our company and culture, ultimately bringing value to you, our customers.
Yours,
Steven
