Obstacles in the pipeline, which are unavoidable in real-world applications, cause turbulence and affect the accuracy of flowmeters. Endress+Hauser has developed the first and only electromagnetic flowmeter that maintains accuracy independent of the mounting location with no pressure loss.
In the past, to prevent inaccurate measurement downstream of pipe bends, inserted devices or control valves, it was necessary to have an inlet run of at least five times the pipe diameter for most electromagnetic flowmeters. But this is not always possible in close-knit pipelines. When straight runs are not available, a tube restriction can be used in the measuring device, but this causes pressure loss, resulting in higher energy costs. The 0 x DN full bore option for Promag W is a unique solution to this challenge: no straight inlet and outlet runs, no tube restriction and thus no pressure loss.
Innovative measurement signal analysis
The new and innovative measuring concept of Promag W (0 x DN) features multiple measuring electrodes that detect the flow. This generates a substantially higher density of measured data than for standard devices that, together with the refined signal analysis, achieves a high accuracy of ±0.5%, regardless of obstruction
Transmitters for seamless system integration
Promag W can be combined with different transmitters: as a compact version (Proline 300 and 400) or as a remote version (Proline 400 and 500) with up to four outputs. Thanks to an intelligent sensor, Proline transmitters offer reliable, highly accurate measurement. Full access to all measurement data, including diagnostic data acquired by Heartbeat Technology, is possible at any time thanks to digital data transmission or the freely combinable inputs and outputs.
