Endress+Hauser’s new Memosens Wave CAS80E spectrometer guarantees reliable real-time measurements in drinking and surface water, as well as in wastewater, industrial wastewater and utilities.
Given stringent legal requirements and the pressure on water supply from both population growth and climate change, continual monitoring of water quality and limit values is essential. Increasingly, you may have to perform these tasks with few staff and on a tight budget. Endress+Hauser’s digital UV-VIS spectrometer – the Memosens Wave CAS80E – is an efficient and reliable tool that can help. The compact instrument is extremely low maintenance and measures numerous analytical parameters in water and wastewater applications.
Optimised installation and operating costs
The UV-VIS spectrometer measures absorbance, turbidity, dissolved solids, CODeq, BODeq, TOCeq, SAC254, nitrate and the APHA/Hazen colour number. The major advantage is that only one measuring point needs to be set up and operated to monitor the various parameters. This drives down the installation and operating costs, and significantly reduces the workload involved.
Quick, reliable tracking of all your values
The Memosens Wave CAS80E spectrometer delivers the relevant measured values in real time, thereby ensuring immediate, end-to-end analysis of the quality of drinking water and surface water. Thanks to digital Memosens technology, the spectrometer also boasts minimum sensitivity to interference during signal transmission. In wastewater applications, monitoring both the inlet and outlet means that load peaks are immediately detected.
Get started straight away with the new assistant
Thanks to integrated, pre-installed analytical models for standard water and wastewater applications, the spectrometer is quick to set up. And it’s extremely handy and convenient to use. Just 40 mm in diameter and weighing a mere 1.6 kg, the device can easily be installed in the process single-handedly. Once installed, it measures reliably in basins or bypasses without the need for sampling or reagents, minimising your workload.
For particularly challenging environments, such as applications in industrial wastewater treatment plants, the spectrometer is available with a robust titanium housing and durable sapphire windows.
Flexible for future challenges
Memosens Wave CAS80E is designed to be used with the new generation of Liquiline CM44 transmitters and can be combined with all other Memosens sensors. The major advantage of Memosens and Liquiline products is that the expansion of measuring points could not be easier. This guarantees complete flexibility for many years to come. With this approach and Endress+Hauser’s extensive product portfolio, future challenges in water and wastewater applications can be addressed immediately with a custom-fit solution.
